Partnership with e-Nable France: when 3D technology serves solidarity

When we discovered the association e-Nable France through a colleague in the retail sector, it immediately became clear that we could actively contribute to its mission.

This organization designs and provides free 3D-printed prosthetic devices to individuals—mostly children—born without arms or hands. At UPSA, we not only have a machining workshop equipped with 3D printers, but also dedicated and committed employees, ready to devote their time to a meaningful project. Most importantly, we share with e-Nable France common values: a strong commitment to health and well-being for all.

Naturally, we joined the 540 certified “makers” throughout France. In concrete terms, we produce prostheses for children with agenesis, following the association’s technical designs and protocols, and strictly adhering to safety and comfort standards. Far beyond their practical use, these colorful and modern prostheses bring joy back to children’s lives, help rebuild their self-confidence… and often give them a fresh sense of momentum.

Thanks to the growing involvement of numerous volunteers, the waiting time for a new prosthesis—which in 2015 could be several months—has now been reduced to just a few days on average. Since its creation, e-Nable France has donated over 300 devices. A striking demonstration that solidarity and innovation, together, can achieve great things. And this is only the beginning!

“Seeing a child smile again, even for a moment, is priceless. e-Nable France can count on our continued support to grow its network, which is driven by hope and solidarity.”

Isabelle Van Rycke, President and CEO of UPSA
