The exhibition “Aspirine” in Strasbourg: a tribute to UPSA’s pharmaceutical heritage

From September 8 to 19, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy of Strasbourg hosted the exhibition “Aspirin”, designed by the Society for the History of Pharmacy (SHP), which traced the history of this emblematic medication.

A bubbling event

During the 15 days of the exhibition, UPSA held a prominent place thanks to the display of vintage Aspirin boxes and historical brand posters. This journey dates back to the 1960s, when, under the impetus of Dr. Jean Bru, UPSA launched its first effervescent Aspirin, an innovation that already positioned the laboratory as a pioneer in this dosage form and in pain relief. This event offered an original way to highlight UPSA’s role in the democratization of a medication that has been a staple in French medicine cabinets for decades.

An inspiring conference for future healthcare professionals

Laure Lechertier, Director of Public Affairs, Market Access, Communication, and CSR at UPSA, shared her vision during an interactive conference. She highlighted UPSA’s pioneering spirit, a company that has been manufacturing 100% French-made medicines for 90 years, and opened the discussion on today’s key CSR challenges: carbon footprint, health sovereignty, relocalization, short supply chains, and environmental constraints. These topics reflect UPSA’s commitments: combining expertise, responsibility, and innovation to meet the healthcare needs of today… and those of tomorrow.
